Does History Repeats Itself?

Happy Family

How Can You Escape from Traumatic Experiences?

History doesn’t repeat itself, but there are a couple of tips you need to be aware of to avoid becoming a perpetrator. Be true to yourself—don’t emulate the behaviours of a parent who may have hurt you. If you had a challenging experience growing up in that environment, it’s crucial to stop causing suffering to the people you love.

A sense of Belongingness

It is important to find a sense of belonging when you are a child, a place where you don’t have to wear a mask and can be yourself. Nobody judges you for who you are, and people accept you as you are. This creates a sense of belonging, which significantly affects each individual’s self-esteem and overall well-being.

We can discover and cultivate a sense of belongingness as a community; it is not a requirement for a family to be the sole provider of this connection. Such a community could offer support to children who are neglected or lack sufficient parental support. This community has the potential to positively influence the future well-being of these children.

Ability of Problem Solving

Problem solving skills are always useful for your life. Life is alway full Peaks and Valleys; we face an ordeal all the time. We have to make a right choice to grab happy time and life. Even you find beautiful, warm loving partner, you still have good days and bad days. However, with your problem solving skills, you can overcome trails easier without break your relationship.
This is relevant to a sense of belongingness as you can also learn from adults who can assist children to be in a right pathway and also resilience.

Growth Mindset

If you wish to change who you are, I believe that adopting a “Growth Mindset” can help individuals struggling to find happiness and prevent them from remaining in a low state in life. A growth mindset is all about the attitude with which a person faces challenges, how they process failures, and how they adapt and evolve as a result.

  • Focus on things can choose and change by myself:
Do not focus on the horrible situation you are in and things can’t be changed- Telology Theory by Alfred Adler
  • Positive Mindset:
Positive thinking is a mental and emotional attitude that centres around the positive aspects of life, anticipating favourable outcomes. Whether through the company of friends, the companionship of pets, or in solitary moments, I have always been on the lookout for fun and joy in various aspects of my life.
  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy:
Despite generally having negative thoughts and experiencing anxiety, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) could be beneficial for you. This therapy aims to adjust your negative bias, which is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

Because of my mindset, I realised that I haven’t been focusing on what is happening at home. My tendency has always been to explore my abilities and interests. This mindset has given me the right perspective about the world around me. Additionally, they are key factors in the cultivation of high resilience.
